Hello at the tail end of April!
It's been a mega-busy month back home. I'm excited to share all the creative work on Bio/Cryo I've been up to, as well as some important fulfillment info. Here's a quick summary:

Backerkit Surveys
This took me way more time than I initially anticipated, but the BackerKit pledge manager has been sent in for review. I'll be sending out the smoke test as soon as the review is approved, and if all checks out, everyone else will receive their surveys shortly after.
BackerKit Survey Responses are necessary to complete your order.
The survey will collect shipping addresses, allow backers from all pledge levels to select add-ons, and choose to opt in for news on future projects. Shippingand Add-on paymentswill be collected closer to fulfillment in late June/July. You will receive another email to complete the shipping payments when we're ready to charge for those. Rest assured that I will be sure to mention when the payments are about to be processed in a future update, so you know when your card will be charged.
5 Million Worlds Press
I was glad to be interviewed recently by watt, the creator of Cloud Empress. Among other things, we discussed the Drones & Clones Kickstarter and the future of ChrisAir Games. In short, I plan to continue making games, and perhaps other types of publications. To encompass a possibly larger scope, I am shifting to the 5MW Press banner. Nothing else is changing, still a one-person operation, haha, but I feel it's a more inclusive title. You can read the full interview here.
Zine Progress
I've learned the deeper you go in a zine edit, the more attention is required to ensure consistency is maintained. I've written lots of pamphlets, and the difficulty in ensuring coherence is not as pronounced as with a zine, haha, so it's good to have a future benchmark of time required for this work.

The back half of the zine contains the areas of facility, the NPCs, encounter procedures, and the terminal networks. With Roz, we opted for an integrated text which provides the interactive components where they're encountered on the map rather than, for example, creating an NPC spread apart from the rooms. With these various pieces' references to earlier parts of the text, it was slow work bouncing around the manuscript to make sure it was all in line.
Now, the pre-layout/pre-final proofread manuscript is in Eric's hands! Even though I was late turning it over to him, we're still on schedule to order test copies in May for a QA review, which I'm happy about.
The Unseen City Zine
This may come as a surprise, and I hope a good one, but through development, the Cloud Empress pamphlet duo has become a 16pg zine with art by HodagRPG!
Dual-faced, reversible zine!
Following watt's development of Cloud Empress, playing the game more often, and becoming familiar with watt's "house style," I realized the cram-packed Mothership look wasn't really suited to the vibe. Instead I've opted for a format that gives more space to the art and text. Admittedly, this has also allowed me to expand on all the ideas I had for the Unseen City, which I am enthused to do.

For the KS and BackerKit, the price will remain the low-low 9 euros, but will increase after the campaign for retail.

Nobody Wake the Bugbear Podcast (NWTB Podcast) is an Actual Play show that focuses on creating immersive audio APs for Mothership RPG, as well as high-production YouTube videos.

I'm very excited to share that starting in June, they will be airing episodes of Bio-Drones&Cryo-Clones! I've been following this podcast since last year when they caught my attention with their Ypsilon-14 episode, and I can't wait to hear what kind of mutant-driven trouble they get into with this zine.
On the Docket for May
PrintOrders are the main goal for May. All but two of the Add-ons have already seen limited print-runs, so those are ready to go. I'm not 100% sure if I'll be able to get my hands on a test zine before the end of May, but when I do, the backers will be the first to see those pages.

It's a thrilling experience to run a Kickstarter, but I am happy to be able to devote more attention to the creative process! Progress is already being made.
Roadmap
Here's an outline of what to expect in the coming months. Near the end of each month I'll send an update on the progress made towards these goals, give details on any procedures on your part, and share more sneak peeks of the zine!

Line and Copy Editing. Finalize Manuscript.

Update 5 – The Final Hours

Our skin itches and muscular aches have ripped us apart, grown us new body parts, useful but disgusting. The transformation is nearly complete, all that’s left is our minds.
The campaign is nearing its final 48 hours! I’ve been blown away by this project’s success and continual stream of backers after those three huge first days. My immense thanks goes out to all of you for bringing Bio-Drones & Cryo-Clones to life.
I cannot wait to get these zines into your hands and hear about it!
Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) for 8 EU countries
Good news on the EU shipping front. Peregrine Coast Press offers DDP services for orders to these eight EU countries:

The Republic of Ireland

What is DDP?
Delivered Duty Paid allows backers from these eight countries to pre-pay a flat 20% administrative and import duty fee on incoming goods. This DDP option is less expensive than when charged upon receiving the package from the postal carrier. It’s a nice boon for those eight countries which will make shipping more affordable. More details on the procedure will be made available when the BackerKit opens!
